THE FREDA KRATOCHVIL SCHOLARSHIP
For Young Pastoral Musicians
The Freda Kratochvil Scholarship for Young Pastoral Musicians was begun in 2017 to honor Freda Kratochvil, the "founding mother" of our music ministry who served the Precious Blood faith community for over thirty years as our Liturgy Director and organist.
As a member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (NPM), Freda would attend conventions and workshops that helped her to build a strong and dynamic foundation for our music ministry at Precious Blood.
Following her example and vision, the Freda Kratochvil Scholarship aims to foster and provide the same faith building and life-giving opportunities for young music ministers who are just beginning their journeys as pastoral musicians for the glory of God and the sanctification of His people.
