Dear Parishioners,
Our lives are being impacted in ways we probably could never imagine. In some ways nothing is the same, and in other ways we are trying to maintain some normalcy. We are sure we’re all doing what we can to support our families, parishes, and communities through these trying times.
In addition to our families, friends, and communities, KOVAR continues to look after the needs of Virginians with Intellectual Disabilities (ID). COVID-19 has impacted many of the Knights of Columbus’s efforts to raise money this spring. The Knights of Columbus will not have the pleasure and opportunity to collect from parishioners after Masses while wearing the bright yellow and orange aprons and offering Tootsie Rolls.
KOVAR continues to see an increase in grant requests each year from those organizations that provide the needed services for our friends with ID, and this year has not been any different. We are 2/3 of the way through the year and KOVAR has already given away over $350,000, money that comes from you and the local community. For KOVAR to be able to do the work, we need your help.
Our hope in sending this letter to the Parishioners of Precious Blood Catholic Church is that some of you will be able to contribute what you can to KOVAR this year. Please go to kovarva.org and consider donating. You can also mail a check to KOVAR P. O. Box 112, Culpeper, VA 22701.
Thank you for all you have done in the past to assist persons with ID. We pray that you and your loved ones stay safe and healthy through this difficult time. Please contact any member of the local KOVAR Committee with any questions you may have about KOVAR.
Faithfully, KOVAR Committee:
